Competition of Oral Stories in the Tyvan Language for Non-Tyvans |

For this competition, every non-Tyvan who is learning and speaks Tyvan to tell a story about Tyva, Tyvan people, language and culture. The competition will be evaluated by a jury of professionals working with Tyvan (e.g., scholars, journalists, etc.).
This competition is sponsored and organized by the Department of Education and Youth Politics, Tuvan Institute for the Humanitarian Research at the Government of the Tyva Republic, and New Century Television (Kyzyl).
Conditions
The competition will be on New Century Television. For those not living in Tyva, you can send a video of your oral story.
Criteria of Evaluation:
1. Completeness of story
2. Grammar
Requirements for the Participants:
1. Full Name of the Author
2. Title of the Story
3. Contact Information (address, phone number, email, etc.)
4. Age
5. Education
6. Occupation
7. 5-10 minutes
Results of Competition
The jury will take the choose the more interesting stories. The stories will not be returned to participants if submitted.
If you participate in the competition, you agree to the conditions of the competition.
Deadline: 15 August 2010

Alexander,
everything depends on what would you like to see in Tuva, which places would you like to visit. For example, you can come in summer in August and we will have national holiday: Republic's day, so you will have a possibility to see horse riding, national wrestling "Khuuresh". Also you can buy a tour in our travel agencies. Write exactly your wishes, so I could advise you to whom you can address or recommend you people here who can help you. About to stay near old believers I think it will be a problem.

I would love to travel on foot near the Belem Gol, and in general in the Sayan mountains and where we can find real shamans and possibly also stay with old believers a while.
If any one can help me or act as a guide to go there will be great.

Hello Tuvinians,
We are 5 people planning to travel to Kyzyl in July.
We are all 40+ years old and we need a private tour guide (Turkish or English speaker) who can assist us in discovering both ethnic and spiritual heritage of Tyva. We will fly from Istanbul to Moscow to Abakan and will take a bus to Kyzyl around 10th July.
A student who would like to practice some touristic guidance may also be helpful enough. Anyone who can join us during our travels, visits and may assist us in communicating with the people and make things easier will be good enough for us.

Hi, I'm Italian but I live in Spain.
I love Tuva singing and I'm trying to learn it by myself with some tutorial help, but it is very very difficult
I have 2 children (10 and 7 years old) and we use to host English speaking au pair girls or boys to teach English to our children.
So I had the idea to host a Tuvan girl or boy to teach me to sing.
I think I can contact a language student at Kyzyl university who is interested in learning Italian or Spanish. But he/she should also be able to sing a little bit to teach me!
Or maybe I can contact a music school student wishing to do an abroad experience (by the way we live in a very beautiful place just in front of the ocean).
Now, the problem is I'm absolutely unable to contact university or schools in Tuva!
Could you please, please help me?

Does anyone know how to book a bus to transfer from Abakan to Kyzyl? Or, is it possible to rent a bus in Abakan? 'coz i'm travelling in a 20 people team.
