An open championship of sumo-wrestling has just finished in Budapest, Hungary. Among Russian sportsmen taking part were Tuvan wrestlers Ayas Mongush and Kan-Demir Kuular. Ayas, after his unsuccessful attempt in May in the All-Russian Championship where he came in fifth, managed to get the gold medal in the under 115 kg weight class in this international tournament thus proving his right to be a member of the Russian team in the coming European Championship, which will take place in Moscow October 5-6. Kan-Demir Kuular came in third (in the 85 kg class) in Budapest and is still under consideration by the coaches of the Russian team.
