Andrei Khertek has sensatonally become the champion of the traditional 'Shyn' news-paper tournement, devoted to the Victory Day. Ayas Mongush, 12 times khuresh champion, the main pretender for the gold medal, this time was not even in the final. He was defeated in the prelominary rounds by his constant rival Maadyr Mongush. Maadyr in his turn lost to Andrei Khertek in the final. Interesting is the fact that last year at the same tournement the chain of Ayas' victories was for the first time interrupted by a Mongolian wrestler, but later on in the Naadym khuresh Ayas proved to be the strongest again.
