Shoigu believes that the capital city of Russia should be in SiberiaThe head of MChS of RF, Sergei Shoigu, who was confirmed last Thursday as the head of Moscow region, believes that the capital city of Russia should be in Siberia.

"Generally everybody speaks well of the idea, and I am, certainly, one of them. I believe that our capital should be moved somewhere farther away, to Siberia. Well, that is what I think," - said Shoigu on air in "Russian news service".

Shoigu was born in Tuva and spoke many times of the necessity of developing this region as well as Siberia as a whole. It was precisely the head of MChS who proposed to the Premier Vladimir Putin to set up a corporation for development of Eastern Siberia and the Far East - from the western borders of Krasnoyar5sk region to Kamchatka, Kurily islands and Sakhalin.

Shoigu was the permanent head of MChS of RF throughout 20 years. Now, in the office of Governor of Moscow region, he will replace another long-term politician Boris Gromov, who has been in charge of the region since 1999.
