Tuvan Surgeon Vyacheslav Ondar has been elected an associate member of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences. Diploma certifying this high acknowledgement of his achievments was presented to him today in the Moscow Academy. Ondar after graduating from the Krasnoyarsk medical Institute had been working in the Tuvan Traumatic Surgery for 14 years. He was the first in Tuva to start micro-surgery saving dozens of people from losing fingers, arms, feet. In 1998 he moved to Moscow and only after it his talents were appraised in Tuva. In 2003 he was awarded with the title of the "merited Doctor of the Republic in Tuva". He is in much demand in Moscow now. Earlier this summer he defended a PH doctor thesis.
