The Days of Tuva in Krasnoyarsk started off on May14, 2009, by the signature of Agreement of Co-operation between the business organization of Siberia “Siberia without borders” and the Union of Businessmen of Tuva.
The document, anticipating mutual interactions between the business communities of Tuva and Krasnoyarsk region, was signed by Eres Chuldum and Valerii Malanin. Leaders of the strong business structures of the two regions, community organizations, and organs of governments participated in the signing ceremony, which took place in the conference-room of The Union of Builders.
The delegate of Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk region, the Chairman of the Union of Industrial Enterprises of the region, Mikhail Vasilyev, emphasized the importance of such co-operation in the conditions of financial and economic crisis.
“Before the meetings, we carefully researched what the business structures of Tuva represent, and the basic directions of their activities,- noted the delegate. And we have to remark that Tuvan entrepreneurs put the correct emphasis into their work, giving priority attention to the development of agricultural production and related work.”
During the meetings, specific joint projects were evaluated. For example, the director of the folk-art enterprises, “Suy-Belek”, Mergen Dagba proposed to organize a joint project for manufacture of felt, turning the attention of the Krasnoyarsk side to the significant volume of Tuvan raw material available for such an enterprise.
An agreement was reached about the distribution of Tuvan souvenir products within the Krasnoyarsk market network.
Vice-president of the union of entrepreneurs of Siberia, Valeriy Lukinykh expressed willingness to organize courses and seminars for Tuvan businessmen, to prepare them in the field of business management and to increase their qualifications.
The planned activities for May 15 include the signing of the agreement between the two regions by the head of Tuva, Sholban Kara-ool and the head of Krasnoyarsk region, Aleksandr Khloponin
Round Table discussions will take place in the Siberian federal university, about planned co-operation in the sphere of education, with the head of Tuva, Sholban Kara-ool, the head of the legislative assembly of Krasnoyarsk region, Aleksandr Uss, ministers of education of both regions, Petr Morozov and Vyacheslav Bashev, and rectors of Krasnoyarsk institutions of higher education.
There will be a meeting of Sholban Kara-ool with students and aspirants from Tuva, studying in The Krasnoyarsk region.
In the cultural-historical center, there will be an opening (May 15) of the exhibition from the collections of Tuvan Museum, the State archive of the Republic, and Union of artists. The exhibition, named “Tyva – my sources”, includes several dozens of photographs on the themes: “Ancient arts of Tyva”, “Arzhaan-2”,(Scythian times), “History of Tyva”, (exhibits from the archives), “Tyva through the eyes of Yermolaev” ( 20-30’s of 20th century), and “Contemporary Tyva”. Beside that, unique artifacts, made by master craftsmen of Tuva, (paintings, agalmatolith carvings) will also be exhibited, as well as national works of literature. The opening of the exhibition will be attended by the Minister of culture and information policies of republic Tuva, Vyacheslav Dongak, and Minister of Culture of Krasnoyarsk region, Gennadii Ruksha.
This is where the Agreement of co-operation between the ministries of culture of Tuva and Krasnoyarsk region will be signed.
At 6 pm,, in the Theater of Opera and Ballet, there will be a gala evening dedicated to the Days of Tuva in Krasnoyarsk region. Three Tuvan yurts have already been erected in front of the theater. An open-air concert is planned, with performances by famous Tuvan performers and ensembles.
