 The Chief Administration of MChS(Emergency services) of Russia in Republic Tuva announced that according to data of Hydro-meteorological center of Tuva, the anomalous cold weather with air temperatures from42 to 47 degrees of cold (centigrade) in the republic and Kyzyl and -50 degree in some districts, will continue in the period from 31 January to 3 February. To prevent emergency situations associated with the extreme cold weather, prevention of fires in residential areas, and prevention of deaths and trauma of people, MChS of Tuva requests the citizens to remain indoors unless there is an absolute necessity to go outside, and to limit outdoor exposure of children and domestic animals, to observe rules of fire safety, to refrain from using home-made electric appliances, to avoid overload of electric lines, and to avoid leaving heaters on without watching them.
Drivers are cautioned not to go on prolonged trips without special necessity. Leaders of municipal agencies are asked to organize round-the-clock schedule of control of function of heat- and energy supply objects. In cases of hypothermia or freezing, medical help is to be requested immediately. Catastrophic situations are to be reported immediately to the services on duty.
