“OKTAY” (Tuva) won a trip to international festival “Wind Rose”

Tuvan children’s folk music ensemble Oktay, by their victory in the division “Folk Song” of the festival-competition of children’s and youth creativity “Moskva-Kansk Transit”, which took place in Kansk on March 13 – 16, won the right to participate in the Moscow final of the competition in November of this year, the leader of the famous ensemble Nadezhda Ponomareva told Tuva-Online.

Altogether about 1,000 children from 5 to 20 years of age participated in the festival, from Krasnoyarsk region, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Kemorovo region and from Khakassia. Competitions took place in choreographic, vocal and instrumental divisions.

The festival in Kansk was realized with the support of Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography, administration of Kansk, and Children’s Charity festival “Wind Rose”.

It was one of regional programs of the festival movement “Wind Rose”, encompassing all members of Russian Federation. The finale of the program will be the closing program, which will take place in Moscow and will consist of all the victors of the regional festivals.

The best ensembles represent Russia in festivals in foreign countries, in Italy (Rimini, Sicilia), Bulgaria, Finland, (Helsinki), Czech Republic (Karlovy Vary) Poland (Gdansk, Gdynia, Sopot), and France (Bordeaux).
