The Tuva Supreme Court sentenced Ertine Salchak, 20, to 25 years in prison for the murder of two little children in the village of Bai-Khaak, the Tandy district of the republic in 2006. He will serve his sentence in a tough-regime penitentiary, press secretary of the Tuva republican Prosecutor’s Office Vasily Krivdik told Itar-Tass on Friday. The investigators proved that on December 29, 2006, drunken Salchak dropped at his relatives. The hostess was out, and two sisters three and five years old opened the door. Salchak raped the elder sister and then killed both sisters to get rid of witnesses.
A group of investigators came to the scene from Kyzyl. Republican Deputy Prosecutor Badma Badmayev headed the group. The suspect was detained hot on his traces. The defendant was found guilty due to the testimony of witnesses, the results of a forensic, genetic, biological and chemical expertise. He was convicted for the rape of an underage girl, the murder of two people in hopeless condition.
Meanwhile, the court ruled to fine the defendant for about 600,000 roubles.
