Premier of Tuva Sholban Kara-ool congratulated his compatriots to the Day of the Victory.
"The salutes of victory of May 1945 are receding further into the past, but the memory of the past war, the feats of the older generations is not subject to time, - the greeting speech states. - Our common debt is to be worthy of continuing the work of the victorious heroes, to increase the greatness of Russia with our work and talents, to put down a foundation for the flowering of our small native country - Tuva. Our successes in this direction will become the best memorial to the Victory, confirmation of our deepest respect and gratitude to those who performed an immortal feat in the name of securing this goal."
Today on the Victory Square, a stele was unveiled, with another 360 names of Tuvan residents who took part in the Great Patriotic War.
Remember that last year on 9 May, a renovated Victory Square was opened in the capital of the republic. Names of 3256 front-line soldiers from Tuva were engraved on the steles. The search was continued. Names of another 360 participants in the war against fascism were established.
"On the day of this holiday of the entire nation, we wish to our veterans firm health, long life, love and respect, warmth of spirit and attention of those around them, and to all of us - bright and peaceful sky over our heads, happiness and prosperity!" - as the chairman of the parliament Kan-ool Davaa greeted the veterans.
The front-line veterans, members of the government, delegates of the Supreme Khural, representatives of the community and youth organizations took part in the ceremony of wreath placement.
