Valley of Volcanoes at the border between Tuva and Buryatia, city Kyzyl and nature preserve “Azas”, are considered by Siberians to be some of the ten noteworthy places in Siberia most attractive to tourists.
More than 40 thousand Siberians picked them during internet-voting at the Sibnet.ru portal. It is the first time for such internet –voting in Siberia, as the originators of the action pointed out.
According to the date of Sibnet.ru, population of all of the 12 regons of Siberia took part in the voting; on the average, 3.3 thousand people voted in each of the regions. Out of the first ten positions, three are taken by noteworthy objects of Tuva: Valley of Volcanoes – second place after Lake Baikal; the administrative center of the republic, city Kyzyl (8th place), and nature preserve “Azas” (10th).
And Kyzyl, as the authors of this Internet project say, came before the famous Altai spa “Belokurikha” in the ratings.

- Sheregesh (Kemerovo region)
- Novosibirsk ZOO
- Vasyugan marsh (Tomsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk region)
- Shira lake (Khakassia)
- Tomsk petroglyphs (Kemerovo region)
- Kyzyl(tuva)
- Belokurikha (Altai Krai)
- Nature preserve “Azas” (tuva).
- Remember that the first stage of the “Nine Treasures” contest in Tuva is now finished. 238 entries were submitted by the population of tuva, companies and organizations. Many of the objects have been duplicated in the reports. The entries are now being worked up by a committee of experts. Afterwards, the entered treasures selected by the experts will be made public at the project’s web site “Nine Treasures”.
