Merited artist of Tuva and Yakutia Eduard Ondar came back from filming in Kazakhstan literally for only a few days. On Wednesday, 25 May, he played in the "Kultegin" play on his native stage, and today at noon  he is already leaving for Kazan with the group involved in this production, to take part in the 10^th International Theatre festival of Turkic people. And already on 4 June, Eduard will be leaving the Tatar capital for Alma-Ata (Almaty).

In all this activity, he managed to make time for this interview, and came to the journal's office. And with him he brought a recording of a small trailer, a fragment of material filmed in Kazakhstan. He made an exception for "Tuvinskaya Pravda", and decided to publish photos from the filming in the journal . Which we are doing with gratitude.

An internet web site for the youngest readers of Russia, the first literature site in Tuva for children opened on the eve of  Children's Day. Tuvan folk tales, proverbs and sayings, the best novels, stories and verse for children, which were at various times created for children by Tuvan writers and translated into Russian are presented on the portal.  "Raduga Tuvy" (Tuvan Rainbow) is one of the first stages of social project "Tuva chitayushchaya" (Reading Tuva).

Tuva will join anti-tobacco action which will take place in the republic at the initiative of  Ministry of health care of RF on the International day without tobacco - 31 May. The Ministry of health care of RT acts as the organizer of the action in the republic, preparing a plan for the event. On this day, prophylactic booklets and leaflets will be distributed in Tuvan capital, demonstration of specimens of anti-tobacco theme from the health and hygiene museum of the center for preventative medical care. Volunteer schoolchildren will perform a mini-action "Break a cigarette for a candy".

The opening of 10^th International  theatre festival of  Turkic people "Nauruz" will take place on 30 May on the square in front of G. Kamal Tatar State  Academic Theatre. This was announced by the director of the opening ceremony, merited artist of RT Radik Bariev. "This year we decided to hold a large scale performance and we thought that it should be done on the square. Of course, the organization of the ceremony in a building would be more convenient for us, but then only the guests of "Nauruz" could participate. And, after all, we are holding the festival  for the people of our republic," - said Radik Bariev.

Premier of Tuva Sholban Kara-ool received the highest regalia of martial arts - black belt in karate. This honorary award and a certificate about obtaining the 1^st Dan was presented to him by the founder of International organization of Karatedo "Marioshikai" Toshiatsu Sasaki and a triple champion of SSSR in karatedo, president of Novosibirsk sport-club "Uspekh" Veniamin Pak, who have come to Kyzyl on the invitation of Tuvan premier, and have conducted a technical seminar. Passports, clothing, instruments  - famous Tuvan group "Alash",  currently on tour in the USA as part of the "Festival of Asian Cultures" - lost everything in one moment. Saturday night, the group stopped for the night at Motel 6 on Cesar Chavez Avenue. When they woke up in the morning, they discovered that their temporary residence was visited by robbers.

"The windows were open wide, all the instruments were taken; the thieves took some of their luggage, so that some of the musicians now have absolutely nothing to wear, and our concert costumes also disappeared,"  - says Sean Quirk, the group's manager.

Tomorrow, a world star of karate, technical inspector of the World Karate do Federation, master of the 8^th Dan, president of karate organization "Marioshikai" in Sapporo, Toshiatsu Sasaki, is coming to Tuva. The karate legend will hold workshops for young sportsmen at the 5-Years of Soviet Tuva Stadium. "This visit has an immense educational significance for our children, - states the Tuvan Ministry of sports. - The entire sports career of our guest shows that beside learning various technical moves, it is the power of spirit, the will, that is important.

Tuva has an extremely rich historical heritage, which attracts tourists from the whole world, but some of archeological discoveries on Tuvan territory  "literally overturned history". This is what the chairman of the government of Republic Tyva Sholban Kara-ool explained at a press-conference at ITAR-TASS, answering questions from journalists. He presented data from research, according to which "three thousand years ago, on the territory of today's Tuva, there was a very high, and very technologically developed Scythian civilization. In 2001, 40 km from our capital Kyzyl, in Arzhaan, which became famous throughout the world as the Valley of Tsars,  a joint Russian-German expedition discovered a burial of Scythian nobles, with artifacts dating to 8^th-7^th centuries before our era.

On 17 May, masses and prayers will be performed in all the temples of Tuva, associated with the celebration of Day of Three Feats of Buddha Shakyamuni. As the abbot of the main "Tsechenling" temple, Tenzin Chimba (Buyan Bashki) informed the Savetibet.ru portal, this year Buddhist clergy turned to Tuvan Buddhists with a special request to dedicate this day to performing good deeds. Beside that,  Buddhist monks and priests, who are members of the Buddhist association of Tuva, proposed to the residents of the republic to renounce eating of meat on this day.

The expedition, dedicated to the 2200 Anniversary of  the foundation of the Hsiung-nu Empire, will take place from May 28 to June 30 on the territory of Buryatia, Mongolia, Tyva, Krasnoyarsk Krai and Khakassia, as announced by the press-service of the Ministry of Culture of Buryatia.

"This event will take place with the support of the Federal Agency for culture and cinematography of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Ministry of education and culture of Mongolia, - the site states.
