The first passengers from Novosibirsk have used the Swiss air-taxi and came to Tuva on Friday. The goal of the tourists from Novosibirsk was to see the "Scythian gold".

"I have read so much about the unique collection of jewelry from the royal kurgans of Scythian era, which are kept at the Tuvan museum - said Andrei K. - I have been dreaming about seeing it with my own eyes not just from curiosity, but also from practical interest. I am involved in production of jewelry, and I try to take note of everything. Not just the new stuff, but works of  old master-craftsmen as well. Sometimes they bring a new impetus of creativity."

The Novosibirsk businessman spent the weekend in Tuva and returned home today. Beside the museum, he also visited  Kundustug arzhaan and Cheder lake. He took a photo at the Center of Asia obelisk.

Earlier this year, four  Todzha reindeer went to take up permanent residence at the Abakan Zoo. "Tuvinskaya Pravda" wrote about it at the time.

The administration of the zoo bought the reindeer of Tuvan-Tofalar breed in the remote Chazylar settlement of Todzha district, in a private reindeer farm of Svetlana Demkina. And then we heard the good news.  The  "vazhenkas" (reindeer does) had offspring.

Last week, the former owner of the reindeer, Svetlana Demkina made a special trip to the zoo to visit with her pets and to meet their young. The reindeer from Todzha are practically domestic, and they are very attached to their owners. It is not surprising that when Svetlana Demkina approached the enclosure, the reindeer recognized her.

In Moscow,  the "Mosfilm" studio filmed Vladimir Martynov's ethno-mythological suite "Children of the Otter" on Velimir Khlebnikov's theme. Prominent collectives took part in the project - Perm Choir "Mlada",  internationally famous ensemble of Tuvan throat singing "Huun-Huur-Tu", and Moscow string ensemble "Opus posth".

The recording of the concert version of this "Made in Perm" project was done in the course of four days in Moscow's largest and most impressive studio. The first premiere took place in perm, two years ago. That is when the collectives started  their joint project. The current recording should be released in October 2011.

Why I decided to become the master of my own affairs.

My father worked at the art school in Chadan, my mother was a security guard there. As a child, I used to go to work with her, and , playing the musical instruments, I felt like a king. When I eventually went to study at the Kyzyl art school, there was not enough instruments, and I wanted my own instrument so very much.

In Kazan, International festival of theatre art of Turkic people "Nauruz" just closed. Tuva was represented there by  V. Kok-ool Theater of music and drama with the play "Kultegin".

Tuvan actors presented their work on the stage of K. Tinchurin Tatar theatre of comedy and drama last Thursday evening. The hall was packed. The show went on in one breath. The actors' performance held the audience's attention from the first to the last minute of the production. The festival's experts, in judging the play, especially noted the expressive acting of Oleg Sat and Stanislav Iril, and the feminine acting of actress Aizana Chylbak-ool. The director-producer of the play Alexei Oorzhak played  the role of Alp Eletmish.
