 Nadya Antufieva, daughter of Tuva's famous journalist Nadezhda Antufieva, and currently Moscow State University student, won a third prize and 12000 ruble ($500) at a regional stage of the All-Russian contest "Social media challenge 21st century".
Young reporters from 12 Siberian regions participated in the first regional stage of the contest: the Republic of Buryatia, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk and the Tyumen Regions, the Altai and the Krasnoyarsk Territories, and the Khanty-Mansi and the the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Areas. As Newslab.ru reports, the jury board consisted of Raisa Zhmodik, the Secretary of Russian Union of Journalists in Siberian Federal District, Vladimir Panarin, the chairman of the Novosibirsk Region committee on public relations, a member of Russian Union of Journalists, and Svetlana Suchkova, a journalist.
According to the jury board, they were pleased with high level of the contest works by young journalists in the regional tour.
The winners award is to be held in Novosibirsk at the conference "The Development of Youth Policy in the Siberian Federal District" Nov. 29.
The competition is conducted by the International Press Club and Russian Union of Journalists. The regional branch of the competition in Siberian Federal District is represented by the Mass Media Center. The contest consisted of five nominations: "Social Responsibility and Development of Economy, Social Welfare and Health Service", "Social Responsibility and Development of State Policy and Law", "Social Responsibility and Development of Science, Education and Ecology", "Social Responsibility and Development of Culture", and "Social Responsibility and Development of Sport".
